The Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme is part of the Government’s Action Plan for Rural Development and provides funding for the expansion of new outdoor recreational projects.
The Donard Glens Walking Trail will receive €7,200 for the installation of trail signage, maps, gates and benches.
A looped walking trail from the village of Knockananna will also receive funding worth €7,840.
€14,720 is being allocated for the production of a series of informative videos on each of the Wicklow Walks.
The Baltinglass Cycle Trails Project will benefit from €8,800 while 10 information trail boards on the Wicklow Way will undergo repair works worth €20,000.
