Met Eireann has issued weather warnings for Sunday.
There will be a wind and rain alert from 2am until 3pm on Sunday for coastal counties from Wicklow - around the south of the country and up to Donegal.
When that lapses there will be a status yellow wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo until midnight on Sunday night.
The British Met Office has a wind warning for the north to run for 12 hours from 3am on Sunday.
