Schools In Wicklow Receive Significant Funding Boost for Building Works and ICT

Wicklow schools are set to receive a substantial funding boost, with €800,000 allocated for minor building works and more than €1 million dedicated to ICT and digital infrastructure.

This investment of nearly €2 million will support both primary and special education schools in Wicklow.

The funding will be distributed across two essential areas: €800,000 for minor building works and over €1 million to enhance ICT resources.

In a statement Tánaiste Simon Harris said, “These two funding streams will make a tangible difference in the delivery of education across Wicklow. This continued investment will build on the exceptional work already being done by our teachers and staff.”

Minister for Education and Youth, Helen McEntee, added:

“This investment in Wicklow is part of a wider €65 million national funding package aimed at improving school facilities across the country. These funds will support maintenance and enhancements to ensure our schools remain safe, modern, and welcoming."
