The Health Minister Simon Harris is coming in for criticism over the delay in implementing the Sláintecare report
Fianna Fail says two years after its publication, Minister Harris is still “evaluating the costs” in the report.
The party’s spokesperson on Health, Wicklow T.D. Stephen Donnelly says the implementation strategy was published last August, with the action plan unveiled in March of this year, but the Minister still can’t say if he believes the costings in the report are accurate.
Deputy Donnelly says we’ve already seen the consequences of poor cost evaluation with the National Children’s’ Hospital and he’s concerned that the Minister will use his failure to evaluate the costings to push back implementing Sláintecare.
