13 public libraries in Wicklow have benefitted significantly from a technology investment to support local people to learn and develop digital skills.
Last July funding of over €8 million was approved by Minister for Community and Rural Development, Michael Ring, to invest in technology for libraries around the country.
Since then €190,682 has been invested for upgrades at premises in Bray, Greystones, Arklow, Blessington, Wicklow Town, Ballywaltrim, Baltinglass, Dunlavin, Enniskerry, Rathdrum, Aughrim, Tinahely, and Carnew.
Wiicklow TD Andrew Doyle says the facilities will enhance public libraries around the county and the new innovative services they provide.
