Wicklow County Council’s Library Service has launched a project aimed at primary school children, encouraging them to write to nursing home residents or to loved ones.
Project Postcard is part of the Community Response Programme and will see postcards designed by library staff delivered free-of-charge to nursing homes by An Post.
School children are being encouraged to get creative and reach out to nursing home residents in Wicklow or to loved ones here or abroad ahead of the festive season.
