Wicklow votes NO in the Referendum on the 40th Amendment to the Constitution. 70% vote against the proposed amendment referred to as the Care Referendum.
With a 51.4% turnout, County Wicklow has voted NO to the Care Referendum with the NO vote getting 70% of the vote versus 30% for the YES vote. A total of 51,190 votes were cast, with official counting taking place today at The Shoreline Leisure Centre in Greystones, Co Wicklow.
A total of 35,778 cast their vote against the proposed amendment with 15,332 voting in favour.
