The works are part of essential upgrades planned on the trails in Glendalough.
The iconic Spinc cliff path will be closed on Friday for ongoing works on the trails in Glendalough.
120 tonnes of stone and old railway sleepers will be moved by helicopter. It means the Spinc cliff walk will close from 9am to 6pm on Friday, September 12th.
The improvement works will also impact red, white and blue trails. The blue trail, Spinc shortcut, will be closed. The red and white trails will remain open, with a lengthy detour through commercial forestry and will not go along the Spinc.
Visitors are requested to obey the signage in place and any directions from National Parks and Wildlife Service staff.
The works are part of essential upgrades planned this year, carried out in two phases.
Phase one works took place in July and involved improvements to the trail between the boardwalk and the Glenealo bridge.
