Radio Safety Radio

Road Safety Radio is an East Coast FM programme dedicated to exploring the issues affecting safety on our roads across County Wicklow and beyond. The programme takes an in-depth look at dangerous roads and junctions, collision trends, road infrastructure, driver behaviour, enforcement and proposed safety improvements. Through interviews with road users, local communities, campaigners, road safety organisations, emergency services, Gardaí and other relevant voices, Road Safety Radio examines both the causes and consequences of collisions while highlighting the real people behind road safety statistics. Each programme focuses on a particular road safety issue, combining local experiences with expert insight and available data to explore what is going wrong, what improvements are being made and what more can be done to prevent deaths and serious injuries. Road Safety Radio aims to encourage informed discussion around the shared responsibility for safer roads - from investment and engineering to enforcement and the decisions every road user makes.
