Taoiseach Simon Harris has announced an extra €1,279,015 for repairs and improvement works on non-public rural roads under the Local Improvement Scheme.

Taoiseach Simon Harris has announced an extra €1,279,015 for repairs and improvement works on non-public rural roads under the Local Improvement Scheme (LIS).The announcement is part of a record €40 million delivered under LIS, the scheme was reintroduced by Fine Gael which has carried out works on more than 4,000 roads with €170 million in total funding since 2017.

€1 million in funding to improve access to homes and remote places in Co Wicklow.Speaking today, Taoiseach Simon Harris concluded, “People across Wicklow will know the impact of this funding on roads and we must continue to identify where the repairs are needed to work on them as soon as possible.
